Ihe following are the rates of pay of Accountant Officers entered prior
to I October, 1910, who elected to remain on the old scale of pay
in accordance with the provisions of the Order in Council of
13th October, 1910: -

Assistant Paymaster in Charge
Assistant Paymaster serving as Senior Clerk to a Secretary who has
the status of a Secretarj' to a Commander-in-Chief (not to be
drawn concurrently with allowance payable to the Secretary to
theChief of Staff)
Allowances to Secretaries in addition to their Full Pay as Accountant
Officers, old or new scale : —
1. Secretary to Commodore, 2nd class
2. Secretary to Rear-Admiral or Commodore, 1st class (not aCom-\
mander-in-Chief, or Admiral Commanding Coast Guard and
Reserves or Commanding a Squadron)
3. Secretary to Vice-Admiral (2nd in Command and not Com-
manding a Squadron)
4. Secretary to a Rear-Admiral Commanding a Squadron (not a
Commander-in-Chief)
5. Secretary to a Vice- Admiral Commanding a Squadron (not a
Commander-in-Chief)
ti. Secretary to Commaiider-iu-Chief or Flag Officer in large in-
dependent commands at Admiralty discretion
7. Do. do. after 5 years as Secretary under 6 above
The maximum remuneration of officers employed as Secretary, viz. :
Pull Pay together with the Allowance spocilicd abo\ e is not to
exceed the following daily amounts : —
No.l 15s. a da3'
Kos. 2and3 20e. ,,
No. 4 24s. „
No. 5 and 6 33s. ,,
No.-7 43s. ,,
Officers whose rates of Full Pay equal or exceed tlie maximum rates
.shewn above are to receive pay as Aecount.ant Officers but not the
Allowance as Secicl-aiy.
