I Sir Roger Palmer served in the Eastern campaign of 1854, and up to 26th August 1855 with the nth Hussars
including the affair of Bulganak, battles of Alma, Balaklava, and Inkerman, and siege of Sebastopol (Medal with four
Clasps, and Turkish Medal).
3 Lt.Colonel Whatman served in the Soudan campaign of 1885 (Medal with Clasp, and Khedive's Star). Served with
the Egyptian Frontier Field Force in 1885-86, and was present in the engagement at Giniss. Served in South African
war in 1901-02, and took part in operations in the Transvaal April to May 1902, and in Orange River Colony Feb. to
April and May 1902 (Medal with four Clasps).
'i Major Jones served with the Egyptian Frontier Field Force in 1885-80, and was present in the engagement at
Giniss in command of the escort to the General Officer Commanding (Medal, and Khedive's Star). Served in South
African war in 1901-02, and took part in operations in Transvaal April to May 1902, and in Orange River Colony
Feb. to April and May 1902 (mentioned in despatches, Medal with four Clasps).
5 Major Edwards served in South African war in 1901-02 with the Imperial Yeomanry, commanded Imperial
Yeomanry (mentioned in despatches, Medal with five Clasps).
<• Major A. 0. Jacob served in South African war in 1902, and took part in operations in the Transvaal Feb. and April
