30 General Chapman served throughout the Abyssinian campaign from December 1867, having brought the
" B " Battery of Mounted Ordnance from England, and was most energetic in getting it into order previous to the
arrival of No. 5 Battery 21st Brigade ; served with the Battery until the 9th April ;668, when he was appointed Aide
de Camp to Brigadier General Petrie commanding the Artillery, and was present at the action of Arogee and fall
of Magdala (mentioned in despatches, and Medal). Served in the Afghan war of 1878-80 as Deputy Adjutant and
Quarter Master General of the Ghuznee and Northern Afghanistan Field Forces and Cabul-Candahar Force, and was
present in the engagement at Ahmed Kheyl (mentioned in despatches) ; accompanied Sir Frederick Roborts in

31 Sir William Stirling served throughout the Eastern campaign of 1854-55, including the affairs of
Bulganac and M'Kenzie's Farm, the battles of A'ma, Balaklava and Inkerman, the siege and fall of Sebastopol,
and repulse of the sortie on the 26th Oct. 1854 (Medal with four Clasps, Knight of the Legion of Honor, and
Turkish Medal) . Served as Brigade Major of Artillery with Rajpootana Field Force at the capture of Kotah on
30th March 1858 (Medal, and Brevet of Major). Served with the expedition to China in i860, and was present at
Sinho, actions near Tangchow, and surrender of Pekin (Medal with Clasp). Served in the Afghan war in 1878-79,

32 Sir Edwin Markham served the Eastern campaign of 1854, and up to' January 1855, including tne affair of
M'Kenzie's Farm, battles of Alma andlnkerman, siege of Sebastopol, and repulse of the sortie on the 26th Oct. 1854
(Medal with three Clasps, Knight of the Legion of Honor, and Turkish Medal) . Served in India in 1858, and was
present at the action of Secundra on 23rd Jan. (Medal).
33 Lieut.General Forster served as Aide de Camp to Major General Pratt during the New Zealand war of
1860-61 (mentioned in despatches, Brevet of Major, and Medal),
85 Lieut.General H. be G. Geary served in the Crimean campaign from May 1855, in the Trenches with the siege
