1 Major G. C. Abercromby. — For War Services, see Militia (Gordon Highlanders).
2 Captain T. A.cton served with the 53rd Regiment in the Indian campaign of 1857-59, including the action of
Kubj wah (severely wounded) , storm and capture of Meangunge .siege and capture of Lucknow, and affair of Koorsie,
passage of the Gobmtee and occupation of Sultanpore ; served as Brigade Major at the storm and capture of Ram-
pore Cassie, at the passage of the Gogra at Fyzabad on 25th Nov., and minor affairs (mentioned in despatches,
Medal with Clasp).
4 Captain D. Baird served with the 2nd Battalion York and Lancaster Regiment throughout the Egyptian
war of 1882, and was present in the engagements at El Magfar and Tel-el-Mahuta, in the two actions at Kassasin
and at the battle of Tel-el-Kebir (Medal with Clasp, and Khedive's Star).
5 Captain J. H. Baldwin served in Bhootan in 1865 (Medal).
6 Captain R. P. S. Barnett served with the Burmese Expedition in 1887-89 (Medal with two Clasps).

9 Captain G. Bramwell served with the Persian Expeditionary Force in 1857, and was present at the bombard-
ment and capture of the forts of Mohumra, and the subsequent pursuit of the Persian army (Medal with Clasp) .
Served in pursuit of the rebel army under Tantia Topee in 1858 ; and with a Field Force against the Bheels and
Mekranies in the Rewa Kanta in 1859 (commended by the Governor of Bombay).
10 Captain G. J. Buller served with the 1st Battalion of the 17th Regiment in the Afghan war in 1878-79 with the
ist Division of the Peshawur Valley Field Force, and was present at the attack and capture of Ali Musjid and in
the engagements at Den Sarak and Futtehabad (Medal with Clasp).
" Captain F. W. H. D. Butler served with the Chinese Coolie Corps throughout the campaign in the North of China
in i860, and was present at the action of Sinho, storming of Tangku, and actions of the 18th and 21st September (Medal
with two Clasps for the Taku Forts and Pekin). Served with the 31st I: egiment during the operations against the Tae-
pings in the vicinity of Shanghai in April and May 1862, resulting in the caking of the stockade of Nanhsiang, capture by
escalade of the walled cities of Kadin.Tsinpoo, and Tsolin, the fortified towns of Najow, and the affair at Nanhsiang.
12 Captain C. B. Cameron served with the 2nd Battalion York and Lancaster Regiment throughout the Egyptian
rar of 1882, and was present in the engagements at El Magfar and Tel-el-Mahuta, in the two actions at Kassasin
and at the battle of Tel-el-Kebir (Medal with Clasp, and Khedive's Star).

21 Captain H. de Teissier S6rved in the expedition to the Soudan in 1885 with the ist Battalion Shropshire Light
Infantry (Medal with Clasp, and Khedive's Star), and in the subsequent occupation of Suakin by British troops
in 1885-86.
22 Captain E. Ditmas served with the 7th Dragoon Guards in the Egyptian war of 1882, and was present at
the battle of Tel-el-Kebir and the capture of Cairo (Medal with Clasp, and Khedive's Star).
23 Captain Dugmore served in the Bechuanaland Expedition under Sir Charles Warren in 1884-85 with
Methuen's Horse.
24 Captain E. E. Forbes served with the Burmese Expedition in 1886-89 (Medal with two Clasps).
