dive's Star). Served in the Nile Expedition in 1884-85 with the 2nd Battalion of the Duke of Cornwall's Light
Infantry, and took part in the operations of the Advance Column under Major General Earle (mentioned in
despatches, Brevet of Maior, 3rd Class of the Medjidie, Clasp).
16 Major Verschoyle served with the 2nd Battalion Duke of Cornwall's Light Infantry throughout the
Egyptian war of 1882, and was present in the engagements at El Magfar and Tel-el-Mahuta, in the two actions
at Kassasin, and at the battle of Tel-el-Kebir (Medal with Clasp, and Khedive's Star) .

20 Major Hollway served with the 2nd Battalion Duke of Cornwall's Light Infantry throughout the Egyptian
war of 1882, and was present at the reconnaissance in force from Alexandria on the 5th August, in the engage-
ment at Tel-el-Mahuta, in the two actions at Kassasin, and at the battle of Tel-el-Kebir (Medal with Clasp, and
Khedive's Star).
24 Major Harvey served with the 2nd Battalion Duke 0? Cornwall's Light Infantry in the Egyptian war of 1882,
and was present at the battle of Tel-el-Kebir (Medal with Clasp, and Khedive's Star). Served in the Nile Expe-
dition in 1884-85 with the 2nd Battalion of the Duke of Cornwall's Light Infantry, and took part in the operations
of the Advance Column under Major General Earle (Clasp).
25 Major H. G. Morris served throughout the Egyptian war of 1882 with the 2nd Battalion of the Duke of
Cornwall's Light Infantry, and was present at the reconnaissance in force from Alexandria on the 5th August,
in the engagements at El Magfar and Tel-el-Mahuta, in the two actions at Kassasin, and at the battle of Tel-el-
Kebir (Medal with Clasp, and Khedive's Star). Served in the Nile Expedition in 1884-85 with the River Column
as a Staff Captain under Major General Earle and Brigadier General Brackenbury (mentioned in despatches,
Clasp) ; also served with the Egyptian Frontier Field Force under Major General Grenfell in 1886 as Senior
Water Transport Officer.
26 Major Wilbraham served with the Nile Expedition in 1884-85 (Medal with Clasp, and Khedive's Star).
27 Major Teale served in the Nile Expedition in 1885 with the Commissariat and Transport Staff.
2S Major Martyr served with the 2nd Battalion of the Duke of Cornwall's Light Infantry throughout the
Egyptian war of 1882, and was present at the reconnaissance in force from Alexandria on the 5th August, in the

and was present in the actions of Abu KleaandEl Gubat, in the reconnaissance to Metammeh,andin the engage-
ment at Abu Klea Wells on the 16th and 17th February (two Clasps) ; also served in the operations in the Soudan
in 1888 including the engagement at Gemaizah (Clasp, and 4th Class of the Medjidie), and in the operations in
August 1889 including the engagement at Toski (Clasp) ; was present at the capture of Tokar in 1891 (4th Class of
the Osmanieh, Clasp to Star) . Served with the Dongola Expeditionary Force under Sir Herbert Kitchener in
i8q6 as Assistant Adjutant General Head Quarters Staff, including the engagement at Firket and the operations
at Hafir (mentioned in despatches, DSO., and Khedive's Medal with two Clasps). Nominated to the 3rd Class of
the Medjidie for services under the Egyptian Government.
33 Captain Stewart served in the Nile Expedition in 1884-85 with the 2nd Battalion of the Duke of Cornwall's
Light Infantry (Medal with Clasp, and Khedive's Star).
35 Captain H.B. Walker served in the Nde Expedition in 1884-85 with the 2nd Battalion of the Duke of Corn-
wall's Light Infantry, and took part in the operations of the Advance Column undsr Major General Earle (Medal
with Clasp, and Khedive's Star) ; also served with the Egyptian Frontier Field Force under Brigadier General
Butler in 1885-86, and was present in the engagement at Giniss.
43 Lieut. Hearsey served with the Nile Expedition in 18S4-85 (Medal with Clasp, and Khedive's Star).
