Captain Haynes served in ti8
Zulu war in 1879 (Medal with Clasp).
During the Boer war of 18S0 he was
employed at Fort Newcastle. Served
in the Afghan war in 1880 (Medal).
Served with the Cbitral Relief Force-
under Sir Robert Low in 1895 with
the 1st Battalion East Lancashire-
Regiment (Medal with Clasp).
16 Captain Twynam served with the
59th Regiment in the Afghan war of
1878-S0, and took part in the advance
on Shahjui under Lt. General Hughes
and in the engagements at Ahmed
Khey 1 andUrgov near Ghuznee (men-
tioned in despatches, Medal with
Clasp). Served with the Chitral Relief
Force under Sir Robert Low in 1893.
with the 1 st Battalion East Lanca-
shire Regiment (Medal with Clasp).
